Nirogo (“we”) helps people in India reach a suitable doctor, clinic or hospital. This policy explains what we collect when you use the chat on nirogo.in, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• What you tell the chat about your health problem, how long you've had it, your city, age and gender, and any files you choose to attach.
• Your name, mobile number and, if you give it, your email address.
• Basic technical data needed to keep the service safe (a hashed IP address for rate limiting and bot checks). We don't use advertising trackers.

Why we use it

• To understand which kind of specialist fits your problem. An AI model reads the chat to do this; it is not used to train any model.
• With your consent, to share your case and contact details with up to a few matching clinics in your city, who may call, WhatsApp or email you.
• To provide support and handle complaints, using the short backup record described below.

We never message you ourselves — no SMS, WhatsApp or email marketing from Nirogo.

How long we keep it

• The full case (description, chat and files) is deleted once your case closes — when enough clinics have accepted it or after it expires.
• A short, encrypted backup record (name, contact details, city, specialty and a one-line summary) is kept for up to 12 months for support, then deleted automatically.
• An unfinished chat is deleted after 24 hours.

How we protect it

Personal and health information is encrypted before it is stored. Phone numbers are looked up only through a keyed hash. Only a small number of authorised staff can open backup records, and every time they do it is logged.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. To delete your backup record, use the Delete my data page. For anything else, or to complain, contact our Grievance Officer.
